Communities across Washington are facing rising crime, addiction, and homelessness, and people are feeling the impact every day.
Violent crime has increased in recent years.
Washington ranks among the lowest in the nation for police officers per capita.
Drug-related deaths and addiction continue to rise.
Homelessness remains a growing crisis, especially in the Puget Sound region.
These are not just statistics. They represent real people, real families, and real communities.
Tonya believes in Restorative Accountability, addressing crime and addiction with both compassion and clear expectations.
That means:
Safe communities are the foundation for everything else.
Washington is becoming increasingly unaffordable, and people are paying the price.
Housing costs have surged across the state.
Rent and home prices continue to outpace income growth.
Supply is limited, and barriers to building remain high.
Many working people are being priced out of the communities they call home.
With over 30 years in the housing industry, Tonya has seen firsthand how policies from Olympia are contributing to these challenges, increasing costs, limiting supply, and making it harder to build and afford housing.
She believes:
“Hard work should provide a good living and the comfort and security every family deserves.”
Tonya will focus on:

Families across Washington are being asked to pay more while receiving less in return.
Taxes continue to rise.
Government spending continues to grow.
Transparency and results have not kept pace.
Washingtonians have spoken, showing up in record numbers to oppose policies like the recent income tax. Families, workers, and small business owners took the time to testify, share their stories, and make their voices heard.
And yet, those voices were ignored.
“When people speak, and the government doesn’t listen, trust is broken.”
We didn’t get here overnight.
For years, decisions have been made without sufficient balance, diverse perspectives, or accountability. When too many voices are missing from the table, the outcomes reflect it.
If we want different results, we need different voices, new ideas, and leaders willing to challenge the status quo rather than go along with it.
That means electing leaders who prioritize responsible spending, practical solutions, and people over politics.
Because without balance in Olympia, we can expect more of the same.
If nothing changes, nothing changes.
Tonya believes:
This election is an opportunity to restore balance, bring accountability back to government, and give change a chance.
